Pelita Jaya Juara Baru IBL 2017

Pelita Jaya sukses menjuarai Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) 2017. Di partai penentuan, Pelita Jaya menundukkan Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta dengan skor 72-62. Pada 2 pertemuan sebelumnya mereka saling berbagi skor 1 vs 1 dan pertemuan ketiga ini adalah penentuannya.

Partai penentuan di Britama Arena, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara, Minggu (7/5/2017), harus digelar setelah Pelita Jaya dan Satria Muda saling mengalahkan di dua game pertama dalam final yang memakai format best-of-three.

Kemenangan ini sekaligus menghapus image Pelita Jaya sebagai spesialis runner up. Mereka sebelumnya kalah di final 2012/2013 (dariAspac), 2014/2015 (dari Satria Muda), dan 20016 (dariCLSKnightsSurabaya).

Partai penentuan antara Pelita Jaya dan Satria Muda yang merupakan tim terbaik babak reguler dan playoff ini berlangsung seru. Begitu kuarter pertama dibuka Satria Muda langsung tancap gas untuk mengumpulkan poin demi poin di tiga menit pertama dan unggul 7-0. Namun, Pelita Jaya langsung meresponsnya dengan baik dan sukses menutup kuarter pembuka dengan keunggulan 18-13. Memasuki kuarter dua, Pelita Jaya terus menunjukkan dominasinya. Mereka berhasil mencetak 18 poin tambahan dan unggul 36-26.

Pertandingan semakin menarik ketika masuk kuarter tiga. Satria Muda yang sudah ketinggalan sempat menyulitkan Pelita Jaya. Namun, Pelita Jaya tetap lebih baik dalam pengumpulan poin dan memimpin 63-48 di akhir kuarter.

Di kuarter empat, pertandingan semakin memanas. Baik Pelita Jaya maupun Satria Muda terus menambah perolehan poin. Suporter kedua kubu juga makin bersemangat memberikan dukungan. Meski Satria Muda terus berupaya memangkas selisih poin, Pelita Jaya tetap unggul dan keluar sebagai pemenang. Selamat buat Pelita Jaya sebagai juara baru IBL 2017 mengalahkan Satria Muda Pertamina.
